Today we are recording for the 4th time, and since 3 out of the 4 hosts are here our executive director, Aly Breslin, made the decision to start our commercials and PSA. We started with the Thuggie. Ki Shon, Erin Walters, and Sabrina Pulli were the talented actors in this amazing Thuggie commercial. When watching this everyone would want a Thuggie.

Next we did the Public Service Announcement. Which is kinda stupid because every should already know that sticking a fork in a toaster will electrocute you. The actors were Jared Kressman and Chris Choo. The set for the PSA was dark with one very bright light that blinded us all by looking at it. When we finally started, Jared started with his Q+A interview, but then soon after we gained some bloopers. the PSA was recorded and in a very serious voice, Jared and Chris made even more funny.
See ya tomorrow!

It's been 3 days since SPSN has begun. Today we have officially started to record our science TV show, Starting the class. Aly directed us to deliver our papers to her and set up the set for Seventh Period Science Network. With only 15 minutes left in the class we had not yet begun recording. The props are still not done and are holding us up.

5 minutes later we finally started, and we had a few mistakes: reading off the paper and learning our lines. In the time that we had to record, Gwen Hoffman, Connor Bray, Nathan Cummins, and Emma Marsden, the host of our SPSN TV show, got through the first part of the show done. When we rehearsed it again Gwen Hoffman had some trouble with her out bursting laugh after Nathan said “Yall”.
That’s all for now… see you tomorrow!

Another chaotic day flew by in Mr. Miller’s seventh period. To prepare for the set many people gathered together to combine the tables with the gray tablecloth. We have our red SPSN(Seventh Period Science Network) sign hanging in the front crafted by Juli and Sabrina. On the back of the set, we have the three banners consisting of a chemical tube representing chemical energy. On the 2nd one we have an earth and on the 3rd a light bulb showing thermal heat energy. After putting the set together, we finally ran through the script.

Without our real teacher, the class managed to get through a lot. We started off class by setting up the room as if we were actually going to film the show. Our hosts, Emma, Nathan, Gwen and Connor took their roles and read through the script. Later into the class, some kids got off task but our head Director Aly brought us all together and went on reading. Though we were interrupted by a fire drill, we accomplished a lot, making the hosts being able to remember their lines better than when we first wrote it. Along the way, our hosts have messed up and everyone laughed together. 7th Period

Greetings from Sandy Run’s own 7th period science class! In the duration of about three weeks we have grown to create a TV. We started from the bottom now we’re here. To kick off our TV show we had to pick our executive board. The class voted on the brightest and most trustworthy students for the job. Our selections were Bazel Brady as the executive production manager , Faith Markely the executive screenwriter, Gwen Hoffman the executive editor, and our executive producer Aly Breslin. Next the directors of the crews were selected and they put the crew members into compatible groups, honestly I wasn’t in school that day because I was sick but that's how it went for them. Next we got assigned our roles by what we wanted, production, script writer, editor, and assistant. Throughout the whole thing it’s been pretty bumpy and sketchy, especially my group, but we get through it……. sort of. During this we had to read actually learn though so we made demos to show them and put them into our super cool script and came up with SPSN! After that we started our commercials which are silly and hilarious and get to be put into our show. The sets are made from our own 8th grader heads and staged accordingly. Lastly we get to rehearse and start our own TV show on Monday.
